during the construction phase)
A lot of people ask about the garage
doors that they see when they pull up. We installed them for several
reasons. Number one reason was for security at night. With the
garage doors down, it encloses the entire run (exterior as well).
The dogs will still be able to use the "exterior" part of their run
through their doggy door, but with the garage door down, nobody can
get inside (or an escape artist dog, out) of the building. We also
did it to cut down on energy costs. When we get those really cold
below zero days, we will just keep the doors down. I am sure the
dogs will appreciate it as well. Each of the garage doors have
windows in them, so even when they are down, sunlight still comes
in. In the photos above you can also see some of the outside
exercise pens. This is where the dogs will be let out twice daily
for exercise or potty breaks.
.
We also have top
notch security installed. At any time of day or night we are
contacted instantly for any unusual activity in the
kennels.
We also have
installed an intercom system which allows us to play music or the
radio 24/7 throughout the kennels.
All runs have
concrete block separating each run to prevent cross contamination.
We thoroughly clean & sanitize each run prior to the next
dog's visit.
We are
researching a doggy day care program, where other dog's can come and
play with each other. Please check back with us on our
progress!
