We are excited to let everyone know
we are making improvements! Some of the things that we have done
are:
1.) We have added sun/snow/rain shelters to
all the play yards. You never know what Minnesota weather will bring
and we know how much the dogs love to be outside, so we thought we
would make it more comfortable for them. We also put some kiddy
water pools in the play yards for those dogs wishing for a little
dip such as Annie.
2.) We have painted all of the concrete
kennel walls with a bright water repellant paint. Not only does it
make it easier to clean, the bright color makes it a much cheerier
atmosphere. Below are photos from the inside and from the outside
looking in. There is a dog door flap that they go through to get in
and out.

3.) We have added more cat crawl space in the
cat room. Everyone knows how curious cats are and how they like to
explore, so we added some "cat walks" into their play room. When we
are boarding multiple cats we always take turns letting them have
the room to themselves while they others hang out in their kitty
condo. When they are the only cats in boarding they get the entire
room for their whole stay! To add to their viewing pleasure, we put
some bird feeders right outside their window.
4.) We have also, on most days, try to
add an extra potty/play yard break during the afternoon. In
addition to getting let out twice in the morning and twice in the
evening, the dogs also get a mid afternoon break when
possible.

5.) We have purchased an additional 4.5
wooded acres attached to the already existing property (for a total
of almost 10 acres!). With the new addition, we have excavated some
new walking trails to take the dogs on whose owners request walks.
It is quite beautiful on these trails which not only has magestic
pines and hardwood trees, but it is not uncommon to see some sort of
wildlife. It is a great release for the dogs to see the sites and
smells on this walk (such as this little fawn!). Below are photos of
Lynda with her dogs going for their daily walk on the
trail.

Below is our little "Summer" shop kitty exploring a tree next to
the shop. She stays inside 99.9% of the time, but once in a great
while we let her outside to let her explore.
