Starting Sept. '08,
please welcome certified Master Groomer, Sue Fiste! Please feel free
to stop in and meet her!
Angie got her start
in grooming when she lived in Fargo/Moorhead over 20+ years ago. She
worked with a groomer who was also a vet. tech. Not only did she
learn how to groom she learned a lot about the health needs of dogs.
Each new dog that comes in for a grooming is examined first to see
what special needs it may require. Whether it be a medicated shampoo
or extra cleaning in the ears, or if it is an older dog that can't
stand for very long. We listen to what the owner wants and address
what ever concerns they have. We NEVER use
sedatives.
To meet the
demands of acquiring new grooming customers, Angie has taken on some
extra groomers. One of them was apprenticed in by Angie.
This is how she got her start back in 1988. It is a great way
to know if they really are good with dogs and will make a great
groomer. Julie did the apprenticeship program in the Summer of
2006, she works Tuesdays and Thursdays. Julie has finished
the program and is doing a wonderful job of grooming on her own. Of
course Angie is always on hand to monitor her and give her advice,
but she is doing really well on her own. Bridgette works Mon.-Fri. She has been grooming
for quite a few years now and her gentle touch and soft voice works
wonders for even the most anxious dog. Last, but not least, is Sue. She worked with Angie a few years back
until an unexpected family emergency came up and she had to move out
of state to help her son out. Sue is a certified Master Groomer! You
name it, and she can do it! She brings over 31 years of experience
to the table. Her work will amaze you and her gentle touch will warm
your heart. She has a huge heart of gold and her work speaks for
itself.
A full groom
includes: nail trim, ears cleaned out, anal glands expressed,
shampoo, condition, blow dry, custom haircut, cologne & dog
bandana or bows.
We are excited to
have 3 new tubs (2 stainless steel) and one custom made tile walk
in. We enjoy letting the large breed dogs walk in on their own
instead of needing to lift.
